This week I’m trying something new. I’ve booked an author review tour. I’d seen the type of reviews that Tasty Book Tours did and was interested, and impressed. Now I’ve never participated in a tour of any kind, so I had no clue what was involved. Lisa Filipe, who runs the TBT site, www.Tastybooktours.com is a real sweetheart, and a writer. I explained to her that I’m old, not technologically savvy, and I sometimes just don’t “get” what people are trying to tell me…oh, and did I mention, I’m old. She just laughed.

Lisa immediately jumped on board and walked me through everything and never once made me feel like I was a real pain in the ass, but I’m sure she had moments. She asked if I wanted to mix it up and do one as a virtual party. I said nope, best for me to stick to one thing, and the easier the better. Besides, I’m not a big party person. Don’t EVER anyone suggest a surprise birthday party. I HATE them. I’ve only had two, and that’s more than enough for my lifetime.

Anyway, back to book tours. I’m betting Lisa is great with her own mother. We got everything figured out eventually, and here’s the banner:

Isn’t it lovely? Wouldn’t you be inspired to check out the book? Ha ha. I know most of you have already read it, and some have even reviewed it. Thank you! Again! My friends.

Here is the schedule:

Monday:  www.dealsharingaunt.blogspot.com

Tuesday: http://literalhottiesnaughtybookreviews.blogspot.com

Wednesday: http://www.pawsandprint.blogspot.com

Thursday: http://www.turningthepagesx.blogspot.com

Friday: http://writersthread.com/emerald-musings-2

If you feel like popping in and leaving a comment (you don’t need to go to all of them) I’d really appreciate it. There will be giveaways, and I know the reviewers really appreciate when someone takes the time to stop by and leave a comment. It makes what they love–reading and reviewing–so worthwhile.

So tell me…do you like surprise parties?

  1. Happy blog tour, Roben! I’m going to head over to your first stop now…

p.s. I’ve had one surprise party and it was great – after my initial freak out! LOL

    Thanks, Robin.
I can imagine you having a blast with a surprise party. Me, not so much because I worry that people were coerced into attending. : )

  3. I went for Tuesday. Nice. Hope I remember on the other days.

Thanks so much, Judy. Tuesday will be fabulous, and I appreciate the support! I just read it. A short but nice review, and another 4*. : )

In fact, I prefer if someone gives me plenty of spoilers, just in case.

    Surprise PARTY?! Deargawd no.

I’ll try to find you out there in the ether…………

Ha ha, Julie. That’s EXACTLY how I feel. Deargawd, NO! I used to have a neighbor who loved surprise parties and every year or two gave her husband one. I used to cringe about having to attend, and yet I loved them both. There was always a lot of fuss and nonsense, and then always some kind of glitch. : )
