Wish We Lived Close By

This Wednesday, I’ll participate in this event:

4th Annual 2014 Desert Writers Expo         MC9000582070oo9027-R1-009-3

MC900058207

The Rancho Mirage Public Library Foundation has generously offered a gathering place for readers to meet local authors. This is a venue for over forty published Coachella Valley authors to showcase and sell their books. It is also an opportunity for library members and guests to network with local authors and keep up-to-date on all the new work that is being created right here in the Coachella Valley.

The Desert Writers Expo is a one day event held at:

Rancho Mirage Public Library

71-100 Highway 111,

Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270

760-341-7323

Free event. Free parking. Refreshments.

Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

This is a great opportunity for readers to meet local authors, purchase books: award winning fiction, non-fiction, poetry and memoir. Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are just around the corner! Grab a gift and have it signed by the author.

Here is a selection of my books and giveaways:                                                 100_1285

I studded the ribbons on the bookmarks with three rhinestones.

The pens have Gone Tropical: It’s a jungle out there! printed on the side and my website and name. Plus they match the sticky notes.

Cute huh?

Wish you could be there! What have you been up to lately?

It’s a lovely city isn’t it, Charlene? La Quinta is even nicer. ; )

Hi Robena! I wish I could be there, too…the Desert Writers Expo looks like so much fun. What a gorgeous setting. Love your bookmarks and pens 😀 Hope you have a blast! 🙂

  5. Nan says:

Cute swag, Roben! You’re so creative and I’m so not! I’m taking magnets to Spring Fling at the end of April…that’s it…magnets…
    Have fun!!!

  6. robena grant says:

Magnets are cool, Nan. My refrigerator door is covered with them (mostly from romance authors) and I adore each one. Maybe that will be next on my list. : )

  7. Love love love that SWAG. So adorable. I wish I could be there, but as I’m on deadline and still have 18K to write, I can’t justify taking a day to do one of my favorite things: got to Rancho Mirage and hang with writer friends.
I hope you sign and sell loads of books and, most importantly, acquire NEW readers. 🙂
    Wishing you all the best.

They are cute, Lynne. And inexpensive. I caught a deal at Vista Print. I know of those things called deadlines. : ) We will catch up at the LARA meeting. And yes, finding new readers is the name of the game.

  9. Oh, I love your swag, too!! Have a wonderful day, Roben! I wish I lived close enough to come say hello.

  10. robena grant says:

I wish you did, too, Robin. I love getting together and chatting with my LARA peeps. I’m so thrilled for you and Sam with your RITA nominations you’d think it was me in the running. : )

  11. Tanya Hanson says:

Roben, love the swag! I know Rancho Mirage well but sob, can’t get there right now. Have a wonderful time! xox

Ps. I tweeted this…I am a twitter virgin so cross your fingers LOL.

  12. Very cool swag! I should get some swag. I’m swag deficient.

Oh, I like swag deficient. I was that for the longest time. : ) I only did a small order because I’m trying to figure out what gets picked up the most, then I might reorder before Nationals.
