As many of you know I belong to a book club, which I enjoy wholeheartedly. Below are some of the members.
We’re always looking for a good read, not one that is perfect, but one that raises questions, promotes discussion, and gets us all fired up. A couple of weeks ago, a friend emailed me and said she’d just read a book that our club might enjoy. One of our rules states, we must read the book first and decide it is something the other readers would enjoy before suggesting it as a future club read.
The Language of Flowers, by Vanessa Diffenbaugh, met the criteria, and then some. I posted a tiny blurb and a link on my Facebook page, said how much I’d enjoyed it, and thanked the woman who had made the initial recommendation. Two days later, I received an email from the Chick Lit Writers blog asking if I’d like to write a book review for them. Of course I said, yes! So that’s where I am today.
