The Blue Dolphin…

The Blue Dolphin is the title of my second book in the romantic suspense series, Desert Heat. Under contract to The Wild Rose Press, it’s scheduled for release in 2013. Now, I’m sure many of you are scratching your heads and thinking what a strange title. Perhaps even wondering what dolphins would have to do with the California desert. I know I would be scratching, but I wrote the story, so yeah, I get to cheat. I know the answer. : )

A glass dolphin purchased at RWA National in Orlando.

My hero in The Blue Dolphin is an overworked DEA agent, and he’s having a hard time figuring out that connection too. But he knows it’s a clue. He’s determined to find his ex-partner’s murderer. If he can keep his mind off the sexy blond Spa owner turned amateur sleuth, he might discover that in the back streets of the sleepy desert town there’s a steamy underbelly to rival that of Los Angeles.  And if he joins forces with the blond, they just might hook a big fish.

Here is the cover artwork. Do you like?

Thanks, Lynne. It’s only a third of the blurb, but I figured that’s enough. At least for now.
I was in the middle of writing TBD when I went to RWA National in Orlando and stayed at the Dolphin and Swan Hotel, or whatever it was called. The glass dolphin waved to me from a gift shop window. : )

Yummy cover! The heroine reminds me of Charlize Theron, (which sometimes happens when I look at book covers, but never happens when I look in the mirror).

    Have fun down under!
